Sunshine Children’s Center provides direct assistance to children who have experienced psychological and physical traumas, and have become victims of neglect, abuse and violence. They need professional, psychological and pedagogical assistance in order to stabilize their condition and their confidence in adults.

The Center uses modern European practices of working with children who have experienced violence.

We use the following therapy methods:

  • Trauma Pedagogy is the complex of pedagogical concepts which are aimed to change a child's self-perception and restore their confidence in adults.
  • Pedagogy of Adventure – the method of working with children that helps to develop the child’s personality, improve self-esteem, and to manage personal life.
  • Work Therapy is a rehabilitation program that includes the development of various skills such as gardening, sewing, cooking, candle-making, jewelry-making for girls, and working with metal and wood.
